Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) is significantly transforming healthcare systems by enabling smarter healthcare delivery, improving patient monitoring, and reducing costs. IoT devices, such as wearable sensors, smart medical equipment, and connected health tools, allow continuous monitoring of patient data, which can be accessed remotely by healthcare providers. This paper explores the wide range of IoT applications in healthcare, including remote patient monitoring, wearables, telemedicine, and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) for data analysis. We also address the challenges and limitations of IoT in healthcare, particularly regarding data security, privacy concerns, and interoperability. The paper concludes by highlighting the future of IoT in healthcare, including its role in personalized medicine, predictive healthcare, and AI-driven decision-making.
