TRANSFORMING THE START-UP ECO-SYSTEM: A CASE STUDY OF UNICORNS IN INDIA

ABSTRACT:

Unicorns are a cluster of innovative businesses that grow speedily in a very short duration of time with the help of growth in economy, innovative techniques, business leaders, and have comprehensive outlooks for the times to come. Unicorns as a business model may lead to the elevation and growth of various innovative organizations in the present as well as in the times to come. In the present times, when the focus of the political and business leaders is economic expansion of the country, then this concept of unicorns is proving to be very beneficial to all the stakeholders across the nation. This paper made an attempt to study those start-ups which have become unicorns in the year 2022. This paper also made an attempt to study the details and business strategies which were adopted by these start-ups to become unicorns. The companies which were studied were Fractal, Lead, Darwinbox, Dealshare, Elasticrun, Livspace, Xpressbees and Uniphore. The paper concluded that the concept of unicorns is not just limited to only one sector but is spread to all the sectors in the business world.
