Abstract:Providing quick and accurate information to students is essential for improving communication efficiency in educational institutions. Traditional enquiry systems, such as manual help desks and static websites, often result in delayed responses and limited accessibility, especially during peak admission periods. To overcome these limitations, this paper proposes an intelligent system titled "Voice-Based College Enquiry Chatbot." The system enables users to interact with the chatbot using voice commands, making the enquiry process faster and more user-friendly. It integrates speech recognition, natural language processing (NLP), and text-to-speech technologiesto understand user queries and generate appropriate responses. The chatbot is trained using college-specific data, including information about admissions, courses, fees, facilities, and campus services. The system processes user queries by converting speech into text, analyzing intent using NLP techniques, and retrieving relevant information from a structured knowledge base. The response is then delivered both as text and synthesized speech, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of users. The chatbot is deployed as a web-based application, allowingstudents, parents, and visitors to access information anytime and from anywhere. Experimental results show that the system provides accurate and instant responses, significantly reducing the workload on administrative staff while improving user satisfaction. Overall, the proposed solution enhances institutional communication by offering a scalable, efficient, and intelligent enquiry system. Keywords: Voice-Based Chatbot, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Speech Recognition, Text-to-Speech, College Enquiry System, Artificial Intelligence, Web Application, User Interaction, Automated Response System, EducationalTechnology.
